"The world is currently undergoing unparalleled changes unseen in a century, and the characteristics of global, epoch-making, and historic changes are becoming increasingly apparent 1. Development and conflict have emerged as prominent global contradictions. As a major country with great development potential, China is at a critical juncture of economic transformation and upgrading. China should undergo structural transformation and upgrading in order to respond to risks and challenges. It is through these processes that China can foster high-quality economic development. In the next 10 to 15 years, China’s industrial structure, technological structure, consumption structure, urban-rural structure, energy structure, and trade structure will still have significant room for transformation and upgrading. Structural transformation continues to hold great growth potential and development momentum. However, structural transformation also faces the challenge of “getting pushed back if no progress is made.” Changes in international geopolitics and the global economic landscape have a significant impact on China’s external environment as it undergoes structural transformation. In the meantime, internal institutional and mechanistic contradictions restrain the structural transformation process. To achieve high-quality development and promote domestic and international dual cycles, China must seize opportunities and achieve major breakthroughs in structural transformation as soon as possible......
