作者简介

欧阳雪梅，当代中国研究所文化史研究室主任、二级研究员、所学术委员会委员，研究生院教授，长期担任创新工程研究项目首席研究员，文化和旅游部主题性创作项目专家指导委员会委员。主要研究方向为新中国文化史、中国近现代人物研究。代表作有《新中国文化建设论略》《新中国70年社会主义文化建设及其经验》《中华人民共和国文化史（1949—2019）》。 Ouyang Xuemei, director of the Cultural History Research Office of the Institute of Contemporary China Studies, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), member of the academic committee of the Institute and professor at the CASS Graduate School, has long served as the chief researcher of innovative research projects of CASS, and a member of the Expert Steering Committee of Thematic Creation Projects of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. Her representative works include A Brief Introduction to the Cultural Construction of the People’s Republic of China, 70-Year Socialist Culture Construction of the People’s Republic of China and Its Experience and The Cultural History of the People’s Republic of China (1949–2019).

After the founding of the PRC, the Chinese people have been seeking comprehensive development through economic and spiritual culture. In September 1949, during the first plenary session of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), Mao Zedong, the newly elected chairman of China, pointed out: “With the coming of the economic development boom, an upsurge of cultural development is inevitable. The era when Chinese people were regarded as backward is gone and we will enter the global stage as a highly cultured nation.” Zhou Enlai, premier of the Government Administration Council, made a vivid metaphor — “Economic development and cultural development are two wheels of a cart that complement each other.” 文化是一个国家、一个民族的灵魂。中国高度重视中国特色社会主义文化建设。一种具有特殊时代魅力的中国文化正在形成。 Culture is the soul of a country or a nation.
