魏敏，作家，摄影师。爱好旅行和记录人文古迹，足迹遍布世界各地。对中外古建筑特别是中国历代长城有着浓厚兴趣，并致力于长城研究和保护，已走访长城遗迹数百处。刘晓涛，作家，致力于文物保护和历史传承，对长城历史文化有深入研究，提出过多项文物古迹和传统文化保护建议，并数次组织赴长城边村落的扶贫活动。

内容简介

As one of the four great ancient civilizations in the world, the Chinese civilization saw the technique of building primitive walls as early as 5,000 years ago. The stone walls at the Shimao Site in Shaanxi Province and the rammed earth walls at the Liangzhu Site in Zhejiang Province both replicate our ancestors’ wisdom through which they transfigured nature as per the local conditions. The architectural wisdom was passed down and laid a technical foundation for the large-scale construction of the Great Wall by later generations.
